Dia de los Muertos kickoff, fundraiser fiesta for La Sirenas cultural space !
Queridos amigos de La Sirena,
This is to update you with where we stand.
As some of you know, we still do not have our lease, its been two years of challenging(and lots of fun, because it pushes me/us along to move on and have creative adventures) negotiations.
After agreeing to their contract,amounts etc, still no lease.
Would love to stay here and have a cultural space in a larger location or if it is not in the cards to stay, have all in a larger location.
Dia de los Muertos, 1999 is when La Sirena opened its doors and it feels like the right time, fifteen years later to have a kickoff fundraiser fiesta !!
We invite all of you to come celebrate with us !!
Son Jarocho, music from the south of Veracruz, integrating indigenous, Spanish and African sounds.
Pleas help me welcome Sinuhe Padilla, Claudia Valentina,Keli Cabunoc, Annahi Saocco y Esther Cruz, who will be playing music and dancing with us !
We are charging an admition fee to help pay for the event and any extra money will go towards creating the cultural space.
This fiesta is open to all, no one will be turned away.
You can donate any ammount with below link.
If you are not able to come you can donate a gift that will be greatly appreciated and you will be included in the raffle.
We ask for payment in advance because we are not allowed to charge admission at the door.
There will be a sweet security guard at the door(community space rules) the fiesta password to get in is La Sirena.
